DISPOSITION: To the presiding officer for implementation

Whereas, Relations between Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne and its current
     fiscal agent have been strained regarding the Code of Student Rights, Responsibilities,
     and Conduct; changes in the salary increment policy; the priority assigned to campus
     building projects; the development of new degree programs; the status of graduate
     teaching assistants; and many other matters; and

Whereas, The maturity of this institution, the size and quality of its staff and faculty
     and the diversity of its programs now enable it to assume responsibility for its future; and

Whereas, The human and material resources of northeastern Indiana, and the particular
     requirements of its prosperity and spirit make a more autonomous and responsive
     university both necessary and proper,

Be it therefore resolved, That Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne be designated
     its own fiscal agent.
