Linda Lou Graham, Associate Professor of Nursing, died Tuesday, January 29, 2008. Linda was known for her passion for her students and her public health work in the community. She was a founding member of Matthew 25 Health and Dental Clinic, WIC Infants & Children’s Program, and the AIDS Task Force of Northeast Indiana. She also created the initial vision for what would become the IPFW Lafayette Street Family Health Clinic. She was an ardent advocate for the poor, homeless, underserved, and the mentally ill. Linda always endeavored to increase students’ awareness of public health and mental health issues. She worked tirelessly to offer the annual Healthy Cities Health Fair which served the uninsured and the under-insured. The Fair became a primary service learning project for the College of Health and Human Services, involving students, faculty, and staff. She will be greatly missed by the Department of Nursing and all who knew her.
