Pedagogical Framework for the IPFW Baccalaureate Degree
Implementation Plan
Phase One: Academic Year 2006-2007
1. EPC asks each academic program, including General Education, to complete the following template in order to determine where IPFW programs are now against the Baccalaureate Pedagogical Framework.

2. Responses are due to EPC by January 15 , 2007. EPC will report results to the Senate at the April 2007 Senate meeting. The focus will be on identifying where, and to what degree, the six foundations are addressed in the curriculum and how student competencies in each of the six areas are assessed.
3. Working with the Office of Assessment, EPC will be charged with developing an institutional-level assessment plan for the Pedagogical Framework to present to the Senate by April 2007.
Phase Two: Beginning Fall 2007.
1. Each academic program will be asked to assess how/where the Baccalaureate Framework are addressed in their curriculum and to rewrite objectives for better alignment (as needed) as part of the regular seven-year cycle Program Review process.

2. Departments may decide to modify curriculum goals, activities, or assessment methods in order to better align with the six objectives prior to their scheduled Program Review.
3. The General Education Subcommittee will be charged to complete its own Program Review, utilizing results from the General Education Assessment process, and make recommendations, if necessary, to assure alignment with the six Baccalaureate foundations.
