SUBJECT:                   Report on Minor in Military Science as requested by Senate

DATE:                         21 February 2008

DISPOSITION:           To the Presiding Officer for disposition

WHEREAS, At the November Senate meeting, The Curriculum Review Subcommittee moved SD 07-3 concerning the Military Science courses necessary for the ROTC program on campus; and

WHEREAS, the Senate voted to commit SD 07-3 to the Educational Policy Committee for further review; and

WHEREAS, the Educational Policy Committee reviewed SD 07-3 in light of the issues raised by the Curriculum Review Subcommittee; and

WHEREAS, the Education Policy Committee concurred in the Curriculum Review Subcommittee recommendations, in particular the recommendation not to approve the Minor in Military Science.

BE IT RESOLVED, That SD 07-3 be discharged from the Educational Policy Committee; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That the Senate approve SD 07-3 as moved by the Curriculum Review Subcommittee.
