SUBJ: Nature of increment funds
DISPOSITION: To the Presiding Officer for implementation
WHEREAS, the IPFW campus administration, above the departmental level, is directly distributing a larger portion of annual increments than in the past; and
WHEREAS, a declining amount of this money is being distributed to address salary compression; and
WHEREAS, faculty have no input into increment policy creation beyond the departmental level nor the ability to assess its enforcement as a group;
BE IT RESOLVED, That the Executive Committee annually prepare appropriate questions for the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs for the September Senate meeting regarding the nature of the distribution of increment funds administered by the central administration.
