SUBJ: Resolution to Office of Academic Affairs Regarding Continuing Lecturers

Whereas, the Fort Wayne Senate has great concern for the quality and integrity of academic programs at IPFW, and

Whereas, the Faculty Affairs Committee has brought to the Senate for information only, OAA Memorandum 03-1: Guidelines for the Appointment and Review of Continuing Lecturers at IPFW, and

Whereas, this document does not present any programmatic level restrictions on the use of Continuing Lecturers,

Be It Resolved, the Fort Wayne Senate strongly supports the staffing of all academic programs with a majority of full-time program faculty at the professorial ranks; and

Be It Further Resolved, the Fort Wayne Senate encourages the Office of Academic Affairs to incorporate such limitations into OAA Memorandum 03-1.
