SUBJ: Fort Wayne Faculty Representation on the [Purdue University at West Lafayette] University Senate

DISPOSITION: To the Presiding Officer for transmittal to Professor Solomon Gartenhaus, Secretary of Faculties

WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees approved prior University Senate action that provides for “…three members elected by and representing the faculties of the regional campuses, one each from Calumet, Fort Wayne and Indianapolis” to serve on the University Senate,

WHEREAS, the Ninth Fort Wayne Senate did during new business at its Eighth Regular Meeting (April 16 and 23, 1990) consider the resolution: “Resolved, That the Fort Wayne Senate not choose a representative to fill the seat allocated to the Fort Wayne Faculty on the [Purdue University at West Lafayette] University Senate,”

WHEREAS, the Ninth Fort Wayne Senate did subsequently refer the above resolution to the Purdue University Committee on Institutional Affairs and the Indiana University Committee on Institutional Affairs,

WHEREAS, the Purdue University Committee on Institutional Affairs did meet on December 19, 1990 to consider the resolution,

RESOLVED, that the Fort Wayne Senate reconsider and approve the resolution that reads, “Resolved, That the Fort Wayne Senate not choose a representative to fill the seat allocated to the Fort Wayne Faculty on the [Purdue University at West Lafayette] University Senate.”
