Requirements for a Psychology Minor

If you are pursuing a major other than psychology, you may earn a minor in psychology by completing the following courses with a grade of C or better in each course and earning at least 8 credits as resident credit at IPFW:

  • PSY 120 - Elementary Psychology
One of the following:
  • PSY 314 - Introduction to Learning
  • PSY 329 - Psychobiology II
  • PSY 416 - Cognitive Psychology
One of the following:
  • PSY 235 - Child Psychology
  • PSY 240 - Introduction to Social Psychology
  • PSY 369 - Lifespan Development
One of the following:
  • PSY 350 - Abnormal Psychology
  • PSY 420 - Introduction to Personality Theory

PLUS 3 additional credits in approved psychology courses numbered 200 or above.

Note: PSY 235 Child Psychology and PSY 369 Lifespan Development cannot both be taken for credit toward graduation due to overlapping content.
