Assistant Professor

The Department of Psychology at Indiana University - Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position beginning in Fall, 2008. The position requires a Ph.D. in psychology from an APA-accredited program, and specialization in clinical, counseling, school, or community psychology. Psy.D. with a research record will also be considered. Eligibility for licensure as Health Service Provider in Psychology in the state of Indiana preferred. An interest or specialization in children or adolescents will be an asset, but is not required. Duties include teaching courses in introductory and abnormal psychology and other areas of interest such as behavior disorders of children. Additional courses may be taught in area of specialization. The position also requires developing a program of research leading to publication, and some service to the university, community, and profession. The department does not have a graduate program, but a master’s program in school psychology and I/O psychology is in development.
