Admission requirements for the Graduate Certification Program and the Master of Science in Education with a Major in Special Education are consistent with the other IPFW Graduate Education programs. These are:
- Transcript of BA or BS degree, with a minimum of a 2.5 GPA;
- Initial teaching license pertinent to teaching K-12 level students;
- Resume;
- Position Statement, based on the IPFW School of Education (SOE) Conceptual Framework, expressing the candidate’s reason for pursuing this degree (minimum of one single-spaced typed page); and
- Autobiographical Statement about candidate’s experiences in education and interest in Special Education (minimum of one single-spaced typed page).
- Three letters of recommendation [PDF]
Application Fees
Applicants applying for the graduate program should submit nonrefundable application fee of $30.00 to the School of Education in the form of a check or money order.
