Professional Background
Dr. Agness is an Assistant Professor of Special Education in the School of Education. She also teaches undergraduate and graduate classes on Introduction to Special Education. Her research and writing foci are on educational issues of homeless/transient students. She is a member of the Student Affairs Committee of the SOE, and is a faculty co-sponsor for Educators for Excellence. Dr. Agness is the recent recipient of the "15 Who Care"-Newschannel 15/Tower Bank Volunteer Service Award. She was recognized for her years of service and ongoing work with the Fort Wayne Rescue Mission’s Charis House.
