About Us
The IPFW Philosophy Department is an active, growing department that is proud to offer courses that can lead to a Major in Philosophy, Minor in Philosophy, Minor in Applied Ethics or Minor in Religious Studies.
Our faculty interests cover a wide range of topics within both the Analytic and Continental philosophical traditions. We are a pluralistic department and our interests encompass many diverse philosophical view points. The IPFW department is committed to helping students succeed.
We have a philosophy club that is open to the public. It meets most Mondays between 12:00 PM and 1 PM. Also, we are home to the IPFW Institute for Human Rights. This institute is an interdisciplinary collaboration between social and political philosophy, education, and the social sciences. The Institute for Human Rights offers a Summer Intensive Program in collaboration with the René Cassin International Institute of Human Rights on the Campus of the University of Strasbourg, France.
