Dr. Geralyn M. Miller
Geralyn M. Miller is the Executive Director of the Institute for Pension Plan Management. She holds an M.A. in Governmental Relations from DePaul University and a Ph.D. in Public Policy Analysis from the University of Illinois Chicago. Her early career was spent with the Illinois Department of Insurance, where she worked her way up from the position of market conduct examiner to that of legislative liaison. She has continued, throughout her more recent work as an academic, to serve in a consultative capacity in the industry.
Under Dr. Miller’s direction, the Institute for Pension Plan Management grew through the efforts of a group of individuals including academics, key industry experts, the Fort Wayne Allen County Economic Development Alliance, and others dedicated to retirement income planning in the U.S.
The Institute is structured to operate within a set of policies developed in consultation with an advisory council comprised of industry professionals from member organizations. Financial support for the activities of the Institute comes from corporate sponsors, training revenues, Indiana Economic Development Corporation matching funds, and other grants.
