Profound Changes in the Industry
With a major shift in employer benefit offerings, and given that pension planning is subject to extensive government regulation, it is more important than ever to develop a supporting research program and pipeline of talent from specifically tailored academic programs, which have the potential to benefit the university, community, and regional employers.
- First Tier
- Deliver training and assist in ASPPA credentialing to the incumbent employees of participating employers administered through IPFW's Division of Continuing Studies;
- Second Tier
- Develop and maintain a talent pool for and educational pipeline into the pension planning industry through the creation of a multidisciplinary certificate program; and,
- Third Tier
- Provide faculty research and technical support to the pension planning industry, primarily through research publications and symposia.
