Some helpful tips if you are planning to register on OASIS

The system has prerequisites built into it and will not allow you to register in a course for which you have not completed the prerequisites.

If you have taken a prerequisite course at another campus of IU or Purdue, or if you ae a recent transfer student and your transfer evalution is not yet complete, our system will not recognize those credits and you will need "authorization" for the course you want to take.

Authorizations cannot be entered until registration opens on October 19. Those students needing authorizations may come to the OLS office, Neff Hall room 288, or call the OLS office at (260) 481-6420 or (260) 481-6492.

Some courses require a specific class level. For esample you must be a sophomore to take BUS A201, or you must be a junior to take Inquiry and Analysis (General Education Area VI) courses. If you will be advancing to the next class level after the current semester, i.e., will have completed 30, 60, or 90 credits this semester, your class standing must be updated. To update your class level, contact the OLS advisor at (260) 481-6420 or (260) 481-6492 or stop by the OLS office, Neff Hall room 288.
