Accounting Society

Purpose and Goals of Organization:
To prepare students for professional roles in accounting and the business world.

Membership Requirements and Obligations: 
$5 dues for two semester membership

Four meetings per semester and bus trip to Indianapolis.

Actuarial Club

Purpose and Goals of Organization:

The purpose of the club is to provide IPFW students majoring in mathematics the opportunity to 1) learn about the actuary profession. 2) be connected with local employers and organizations associated with the actuary profession. 3) attend lectures and meetings given by local employers and organizations associated with the actuary profession. 4) explore internships/employments in the field of actuary. 5) form support groups to prepare for actuary exams

Membership Requirements and Obligations:

The club is free and intended for all IPFW math majors.

ASL Pah! Club

Purpose and Goals of Organization:
To promote American Sign Language and culture in a positive way on IPFW. To give IPFW students who are studying ASL an opportunity to use and improve their language skills and learn more about deaf culture.

Membership Requirements and Obligations: 
$2.00 dues a semester or $3.00 a year. Must be an IPFW student and may include a limited number of non-students. Voting members must be enrolled in at least 1 credit hour and maintain a 2.0 GPA.

American Choral Directors Assocation, IPFW Chapter

Purpose and Goals of Organization: 
To promote and foster the finest choral singing and experiences.

Membership Requirements and Obligations: 
Must be a current student at IPFW and enrolled in at least one music class. Must be students in good standing at IPFW. Must have paid annual membership dues of $5. Must attend at least one meeting each semester.

American Society for Microbiology

Purpose and Goals of Organization:
1) Promote student interest and further improve the quality of the microbiology program at IPFW. 2) Promote high school interest in microbiology and their attendance at IPFW. 3) Provide aid for students in microbiology at IPFW with respect to academic curriculum, research, and employment, and 4) Promote student participation in local, state, and national ASM meetings. 

Membership Requirements and Obligations: 
All active students (undergraduate and graduate) who have paid chapter and state dues and who are in good standing with the IPFW-ASM and associate members and faculty members in good standing with IPFW-ASM. Active voting membership shall be open to all students currently enrolled in at least one (1) credit hour at IPFW, and who have paid club dues. Each voting member must maintain at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA at IPFW. Inactive, non-voting membership shall be open to interested individuals; however, they may not hold office. DUES: Dues shall be payable by the second fall meeting. Twelve dollars shall be paid with one dollar going to the IPFW_ASM as annual membership. Failure to pay dues within a reasonable length of time shall terminate one's membership from the chapter. EXPULSION: Member may be expelled from this organization for conduct unbecoming and for violations of the student code of conduct. A 2/3 secret vote of the attending members in an oepn meeting shall constitution exuplsion permanently.

AMSA Pre-Med Club

Purpose and Goals of Organization:
To facilitate medical community exposure and promote medically oriented experiences for its members, to provide support and guidance for the application processes to allopathic and osteopathic schools of medicine, to provide course counseling and guidance for MCAT preparation, to provide social-academic activities and support for all club members, to provide an environment that supports the creative ideas of all club members, and to increase knowledge of health information among members and the general public.

Membership Requirements and Obligations:
Eligibility: Students enrolled at IPFW and have paid current chapter dues shall be considered active members of AMSA IPFW Premedical Chapter. Induction: Active voting membership shall be open to all students currently enrolled in at least one (1) credit hour at IPFW. Inactive, non-voting membership shall be open to interested individuals; however, they may not hold office. The AMSA national dues are currently set at $30.00 annually, and local chapter dues shall be $5.00 per academic year and are subject to change by the executive committee. Expulsion: member may be expelled from this organization for conduct unbecoming and for violations of the student code of condut. A petition signed by 50% of the members of this organization shall initiate expulsion proceedings. A 2/3 secret vote of the attending members in an open meeting shall constitute expulsion permanently.

American Society of Civil Engineers

Purpose and Goals of Organization:
The purpose and goals of this organization are to encourage the development of a professional consciousness, to introduce students to the profession of civil engineering, to promote a spirit of congeniality among students, and to provide friendly contact with the engineering profession.

Membership Requirements and Obligations:
Membership in this organization shall be open to all IPFW students and may include a limited number of non-students. Fifty-one percent of the total membership must be a currently enrolled student at IPFW and those members may vote, hold office, and represent the organization/university in an official capacity. The minimum membership requirement is 8 members. Membership dues of the club shall be $10.00 per semester and are due at the second regular metting of the semester

American Society of Mechanical Engineers

Purpose and Goals of Organization:

Scientific and educational directed toward the advancement of the theory and practice of mechanical engineering and the allied branches of engineering and the related arts and sciences. Professional directed toward the advancement of the standing of the member of the profession IT Services. Promoted and directed toward the advancement of the organization and its members of the university and the community.

Membership Requirements and Obligations:

1) Fifty-one percent of the total membership must be currently enrolled students at IPFW and only those members may vote, hold office, and represent the organization/university in an offical capacity. 2) Each member is required to pay $5 per semester.

Anthropology Club

Purpose and Goals of Organization:
The club will stimulate and encourage interest and involvement of the student body in anthropology and promote community-wide interest in anthropology.

Membership Requirements and Obligations: 
Active membership shall be open to enrolled students and adjunct membership to any individual including faculty, with dues of $2.00 per semester for all members. Only active members may vote. Non-active members are those accumulating three or more unexcused absences in one semester. Membership and participation shall be free from discrimination and harrassment per the policies of the IPFW Code of Students Rights, Responsibilities, and Conduct as stated in Part I, Section A, Items 3 and 4.

Monthly meetings, Luncheon Lecture Series, Anthropology Unplugged, the BIG Event, field trips.

Arabic Language and Culture Club

Purpose and Goals of Organization: To bring both native and non-native speakers together to develop their language skills and promote Arabic culture and understanding to IPFW and community around.

Membership Requirements and Obligations: Dues of $2 at the beginning of fall and spring semesters. 51% shall be IPFW students while the remaining can be non-student members. Voting members shall be enrolled in 3 credit hours.

Art Students League

Purpose and Goals of Organization: 
The Art Students League (ASL) aims to organize art-related events such as exhibits and open critiques; organize trips, lecture and artist visits; and to unite art students and promote awareness of the arts within the university and community.

Membership Requirements and Obligations:
ASL is open to all students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community members; fifty one percent of must be currently enrolled students. Voting membership shall be open to all students currently enrolled in at least three credit hours. There are no membership dues.

Trip to Memphis, TN to attend Metalsmithing Repair Days workshop

Association for Computing Machinery

Purpose and Goals of Organization:
To promote a means of communication and greater interest in the increase of knowledge of design, development, construction, languages, and application of computing.

Membership Requirements and Obligations:
Open to all IPFW students.  To vote, you must hold a 2.5 GPA and will adhere to the IPFW Code of Student Rights.
