Club Sports
The club sports program offers a unique blend of team and individual sports, some are organized for competitions while others are more instructional in nature. Contact information for each club is listed below.

AdapoDons

  • Purpose and Goals of Organization:
    To give students with disabilities the chance to play sports. The club is open to able body students as well, giving both students with disabilities and able body students the chance to play with each other in sports.

    At least 3 credit hours, no dues.

    Basketball team and other local sports.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Club

  • Purpose and Goals of Organization:
    To help students meet each other while promoting healthy activity and learning self-defense.
  • Membership Requirements and Obligations:
    For free membership, must be an IPFW student. If a non-student member fees apply

IPFW Hockey Club

  • Purpose and Goals of Organization:
    To develop college students into successful student-athletes. Compete in the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Division 3 program. Enhance the social welfare of the players, student volunteers, and student fans. Give college students an opportunity to be a member of a team while pursuing their degree.
  • Membership Requirements and Obligations: 
    All players must be chosen through an open tryout. Graduate student players must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours and undergraduate students must be enrolled in at least 9 credit hours (except in the students final semester before graduation). All players must maintain at least a 2.0 GPA. 
  • Events and Activities:
    Tryouts, practices, fundraising, games against other ACHA college teams, and consideration for the regional playoff tournament.

Live Action Combat Club

  • Purpose and Goals of Organization:
    To provide a safe environment to participate in foam based, combat styled sports activities, providing opportunity for competition locally at IPFW and Regionally. Provide students with new experiences that promote self development in confidence and body, as well as a sense of belonging in the university community, focused through each team and community building program.
  • Membership Requirements and Obligations:
    The game is open to anyone physically able to play and free. To be a voting member able to travel to competitions. There is a $10 seasonal fee for gear, gas fair, and other club expenses.

    Weekly practice, Monthly Workshops, Humans vs. Zombies.

Rugby Club 

  • Purpose and Goals of Organization: 
    The IPFW Rugby Club is committed to grow the sport, develop its players, and proudly represent the campus and the community.
  • Membership Requirements and Obligations: 
    We will accomplish our mission by demonstrating the values and principles upon which the game of Rugby was founded and developing members to reach their full potential as players, students, and young adults.

Skating Club

  • Purpose and Goals of Organization:
    Provide recreational and competitive opportunities in figure skating. Promote service, integrity, leadership, and fellowship. Develop lifelong athletes and leaders.
  • Membership Requirements and Obligations:
    Voting membership shall be open to all students currently enrolled in at least 12 credit hours at IPFW. Non-voting membership may be held by faculty, staff, alumni, non-IPFW students, or community members. No dues or financial obligations. Members may be expelled from this organization for conduct unbecoming and for violations of the student code of conduct.

 Ski and Snow board Club

  • Purpose and Goals of Organization:
    The purpose of this club is to give students the opportunity to meet others that enjoy skiing and snowboarding at any level. The club is meant to help students experience different types of ski terrain at different resorts, both close and distant. The club also encourages interaction between students of other universities within the state.
  • Membership Requirements and Obligations: The only requirewment for the IPFW Ski & Snowboard Club is a signed waiver by the active student, allowing him/her to attend club trips. Attending for the club is not required, but is strongly advised that meets are attended as frequently as possible.
  • Activities and Events planned for current year: Multiple trips to resorts within Indiana as well as a trip outside of the state.
