The Student Life office is dedicated to the enhancement and advancement of IPFW students by providing co-curricular opportunities which compliment academic pursuits and learning beyond the classroom. The Student Life staff seeks to provide an atmosphere, where students not only learn, but are challenged, supported and heard. With this mission, the Student Life office promotes the personal and professional development of IPFW students, the leaders of today and tomorrow.
The Student Life Office plans, implements, and assesses programming designed to foster student learning and development, enhance community, and promote student satisfaction.
In addition, the department encourages and assists student organizations in planning, implementing, and assessing programming for those purposes. Student Life works in partnership with student government in the recognition of student organizations; provides leadership development training for students and student organizations; recommends policies related to the development and management of student organizations; allocates space to student organizations; provides training and support for student organization advisors; and serves as a liaison between student organizations and IPFW administrative and academic units.
Student Life plays a significant role in directing the presentation of IPFW's New Student Orientation program. The department oversees the Co-Curricular Transcript (CCT) program; authorizes non-University postings on campus; maintains a calendar for student events on campus; provides rental information for off-campus housing; and assists in other IPFW activities, services, and programs as requested and assigned.
