Student research and creative endeavor was highlighted at the March 30, 2016 Symposium on the Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) campus. Over 100 undergraduate and graduate students--more than any previous symposium - presented their research in 100 posters which were judged by faculty teams. Nineteen departments were represented with 47 faculty mentors; see the 2016 departmental participation statistics.

Cheryl Truesdell, Dean of Helmke Library, announced the prizes. The judging criteria reflects Poster Content, Student Presentation and Poster Appearance.
