Campus Safety

The Campus Safety Department is responsible for maintaining and updating the physical safety systems on campus. These systems include Fire/Tornado alarm systems, campus camera systems, electronic access systems, ID cards, and Security badges system. In addition we man an information desk in the Walb Memorial Union Building and oversee the issuance of the campus transportation vehicles and the distribution of campus keys.

Mission Statement

To provide a safe and secure physical environment for the University Community by providing proper maintenance of safety systems, developing sound safety policies, supplying courteous quality service and helpful, accurate information.

Emergency Information

Whenever possible, we announce weather closings by 6:30 am for  daytime classes and by 3:00 pm for evening classes.

For weather closure updates, check this page, or call the weather information line at 481-6050 or 481-5770 (they both provide the same information.)
