Community Engagement

What is Community Engagement?

The Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching defines it as collaboration between institutions of higher education and their larger communities (local, regional/state, national, global) for the mutually beneficial exchange of knowledge and resources in a context of partnership and reciprocity.

IPFW was among a select group of universities and colleges nationwide to be recognized by the Carnegie Foundation for its 2010 Community Engagement Classification.
