E-mail is the official means of communication with IPFW students. An e-mail account is provided to all active students to be used for university responsibilities. This account is generated as soon as the student is admitted to the university.
IPFW student e-mail address follows the format of firstname.lastname@example.org even though it is a Gmail account provided by Google Apps for Education. Student e-mail can be accessed on or off campus via the E-mail icon in myIPFW.
E-mail accounts are deleted when the student is no longer active. In general, this is one year after they graduate or stop taking classes. They will receive an e-mail two weeks before the account is scheduled for deletion.
