  • Sat: 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
  • Sun: 11 a.m.-7 p.m.

 

  1. A loaner workstation is available when:
    • Critical department production workstation is down for repairs
    • Repairs are expected to take more than 48 hours
    • No other department workstation is available to compensate
    • Department is in a critical business cycle

  2. Borrower is responsible for any damage to or loss of equipment.


  3. Privileges to borrow loaner equipment may be revoked or suspended due to the following:
    • Repeatedly returning equipment late
    • Returning equipment that is damaged or incomplete

  4. Use of Workstation
    • Workstation can be borrowed for a maximum of 2 weeks
    • Workstation will have MS Office, Banner and Internet Explorer installed
    • E-mail can be accessed via myIPFW or webmail.ipfw.edu
    • Borrower will authenticate to the network to use the workstation
    • Borrower should save files only to their I: or O: drive
    • Any files saved to the hard drive cannot be recovered once the PC is returned to IT Services
    • No sensitive data should be stored on the hard drive of the computer at any time

  5. Request to borrow equipment must be authorized by department's Vice Chancellor, Dean, Director, or Chair. Request can be made to IT Services Help Desk.
