GRADUATE APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS FALL 2018

Requirements: 

Purdue University Fort Wayne Graduate School Application

Proof of English Proficiency

Required for students whose native language is other than English. Official score reports from one of the following tests must be submitted directly to Purdue Fort Wayne from the testing agency:

·        TOEFL: 77

o   Minimum Bands: 19 Reading, 14 Listening, 18 Speaking, 18 Writing

·        IELTS: 6.5 Overall Band Score

·        PTE Academic: 58

·        ELS Language Center: Completion of level 112

·        English Speaking Countries: The Graduate School will routinely waive the TOEFL/IELTS/PTE for applicants who have received a baccalaureate degree or graduate or professional degree, within the last 24 months, from a school where English is the primary language of instruction in a country/location where English is the native language.** For a list of Official English-speaking countries/locations, in addition to the U.S., please click HERE.

Transcripts

Official University transcripts reflecting coursework or degrees completed outside of the U.S. must be sent directly to the Office of International Education. The transcripts must come in a sealed envelope from the issuing institution. If not issued in English, English translations must accompany the official transcripts. Purdue Fort Wayne reserves the right to request a credential evaluation from a NACES or AICE member.

Credential Evaluations: External credential evaluations will be accepted from any NACES or AICE member, but are not required.

Statement of Purpose

300-500 words concerning your purpose for undertaking or continuing graduate study, your reasons for wanting to study at Purdue, and your research interests, professional plans, and career goals. You also may explain any special circumstances applicable to your background and elaborate on your scholarly publications, awards, achievements, abilities, and/or professional history. May vary depending on program.
