IPFW Chancellor's Scholarships for International Students

The Chancellor's scholarships are awarded to incoming students who meet specific criteria. No application is required. International students who qualify will be notified by the Office of International Education.

Incoming international students can qualify for the following awards: 

Chancellor's Distinguished Scholarship

  • For all beginning students
  • Full tuition and fees
  • No application required
  • Limited to four years of enrollment
  • May not be received simultaneously with the Chancellor's Scholarship or Chancellor's Merit Award

Criteria

  • Current year's high school graduate
  • Indiana Core 40 or Academic Honors Diploma*
  • Either of the following options:
  • Minimum SAT score of 1950 or ACT score of 29 High school class rank of 5 percent or higher at a state-accredited high school or 
  • Test scores only - SAT 2100 or ACT 32
  • ADDITIONAL FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS: Minimum score of 600 (paper based) or 87 (internet based) on the TOEFL exam, or a 7.0 on the IELTS and  a minimum high school GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. 

Requirements for Scholarship Renewal

  • Full-time enrollment (minimum of 12 credit hours each semester) during fall and spring semesters, with no break in enrollment
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.5

*Graduates of non-Indiana high schools: a college preparatory high school curriculum.

 

Chancellor's Merit Award 

  • For out-of-state students
  • Allows an out-of-state student to pay in-state costs for tuition and fees
  • Example: 2013-14 fees for 30 credit hours (1 year):
  • Indiana resident: $7,792.50
  • Out-of-state resident: $18,717.00
  • Out-of-state resident with the Chancellor's Merit Award: $7,792.50; Savings: $10,924.50
  • No application required
  • Limited to four years of enrollment
  • May not be received simultaneously with the Chancellor's Distinguished or Chancellor's Scholarship

Criteria

High school seniors:

  • Minimum SAT score of 1650 or ACT score of 24
  • High school class rank of top quarter or
  • Test scores only - SAT 1800 or ACT 27
  • ADDITIONAL FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS: Minimum score of 600 (paper based) or 87 (internet based) on the TOEFL exam, or a 7.0 on the IELTS and  a minimum high school GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. 

Transfer students:

  • Completion of 24 transferable credits
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above at each college attended

Requirements of Scholarship Renewal

  • Full-time enrollment (minimum of 12 credit hours each semester) during fall and spring semesters, with no break in enrollment
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0
