Overview

The RIPPLES award was introduced to IPFW in 2003 as an employee-to-employee appreciation program. This program allows all faculty and staff to recognize the outstanding service received from co-workers.

The program was designed to recognize random acts of exceptional service that go beyond the normal scope of an employee’s daily work. The following acronym defines the parameters of the award:

  • R–Respect and courtesy
  • I-Initiative to make things better
  • P-Professionalism in all that we do
  • P-Pride in our university
  • L-Laughter and humor
  • E-Excellence in service
  • S-Special people, special attitudes
