Outside Scholarships

Community Organizations offer many scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students.  The scholarships listed here are awarded by committees or organizations outside of IPFW.   IPFW also offers many university scholarship opportunities.

 

2016 Student of Integrity University Scholarship

Sponsored by the Better Business Bureau (BBB) serving Northern Indiana Charitable and Educational Foundation.  The BBB Charitable & Educational Fund (BBBCE) will award $2,000 scholarships to two university students attending a post-secondary educational facility in Fall 2016.  This opportunity is limited to northeastern Indiana students only.

Advertising Federation of Fort Wayne Scholarship

This is a $1,000 to $1,500 scholarship. Students must be full time (12 credit hours) to receive this scholarship.

Charles Holt Scholarship offered by Indiana Wildlife Federation Endowment

This $1,000 scholarship will be awarded to an applicant who is an Indiana resident enrolled for the Fall 2016 semester as a full-time undergraduate (sophomore or above) in an accredited college or university.  The applicant must also be taking coursework to major or minor in a field related to natural resource conservation or environmental education.  All applications must be completed and mailed to Indiana Wildlife by June 15, 2016.

Delta Sigma Kappa Sorority, Iota Chapter

Will be awarding a $500 scholarship to a young woman who has completed at least one year of college and has demonsrated ambition and self-drive in her previous college year(s).  Applicants should be high achievers who demonstrate leadership, have a minimum GPA of 3.0 and have financial need.  If you have questions, please contact Sandra K. Diane R. Behrens Nursing Scholarship

This is a new scholarship for Whitley County residents currently in their junior or senior year of post-secondary education is pursuit of a baccalaureate nursing degree at an accredited USA College or University.  Applicants must be in the top half of their class, be of good moral character and be a member of a Christian church.

Applications are available on the Community Foundation's website under the scholarship tab.  Deadline for applications is August 29, 2016.  Anyone with questions regarding the online application process should contact the Community Foundation at 260-244-5224.

This is a minimum of $1,000 scholarship, intended to assistance students attending a two or four year college or university.

Scholarships are intended for non-traditional students who are re-entering college.

Northeast Indiana Hospitality Association (NEIHA)

The NEIHA wants to extend its Hospitality Scholarship opportunity to IPFW students.  Applicants must be enrolled in a program leading to a degree and must be seeking a career in the Hospitality Industry.  The scholarship requirements and application are listed below:

The P.E.O. Program for Continuing Education (PCE)

The P.E.O. Program for Continuing Education is a need based grant program providing one-time financial assistance to women whose education has been interrupted and who find it necessary to return to school to complete a degree or certification that improves their marketable skills for employment to support themselves and/or their families.

The maximum grant is $3,000.  The total grant awarded is based on the availability of funds and applicants' individual needs.  Regardless of the amount awarded, recipients are only eligible to receive one PCE grant.  Prospective applicants are identified by a local chapter.  For more information on this grant, please click here. 

Sociedad Amigos De Colombia (SADCO) Scholarship

Applicants should be Hispanic Indiana residents up to third generation, admitted or enrolled in an associate or bachelor degree program (up to third year, have unmet need, have involvement in community service along with other requirements).

Tippecanoe Area Human Resources Association (TAHRA) Scholarships

TAHRA in Lafayette, IN is providing two scholarship opportunities:

               1 - $1,500 scholarship for a graduate student

               1 - $1,000 scholarship for an undergraduate student

For undergraduate students pursuing an HR related degree and graduate students pursuing a Masters degree in HRD or an MBA with a concentration in HR.
