Types of Aid

Grants

Students that demonstrate financial need, through the FAFSA, may qualify for aid to help pay from either the federal or state government. This does not have to be paid back.

Scholarships

There are a wide variety of scholarships available to IPFW students. Some are Merit based, awarded based on achievements, and/or Need-based, awarded based on your financial need.

Loans

Borrow money to help pay for school now from the federal government or from private financial intermediaries and pay it back later.

Work-Study

This is a limited program that is subsidized by the federal government to allow students the opportunity to work on-campus or for a non-for-profit.

File your FAFSA

By filing out your FAFSA, you'll be automatically considered for aid at any school you are accepted to for state and federal aid, federal loans, and federal work-study.
