Petition for Late Full Withdrawal

Information

Dropping classes is prohibited after the ninth week of a regular semester or a comparable time period for summer sessions. Specific deadlines are published in each Schedule of Classes to educate students so that they may make informed decisions within the appropriate time frame.

Request for an exception to this policy will be considered only for exceptional, non-academic reasons which are clearly beyond a student's control.

Please be advised that students have the ability to drop before deadline by a variety of means. Students may drop in person at the Registrars, Academic Advising Offices, on-line or through the mail. Any holds on a student record may be temporarily lifted in order for a student to drop. Failure to take these measures when able will result in the petition being denied. 

Submission of a petition is a request for exception and approval is not guaranteed.
