Center for Women and Returning Adults

The Center for Women and Returning Adults (CWRA) staff launched Empowerment in Fall, 2009 with a series of seminars and panel discussions designed to explore the social forces that often control our lives, including:

  • the global economy
  • the social welfare system
  • mass media companies

Beginning in January 2011, CWRA will team with the Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne Department of Communication and a grant from the Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne Student Government Association to present a four-part series on the news and information as commodities and its implications in a democratic society.

Our next program is scheduled for Monday, January 24, 2011 AT NOON TO 1:15 P.M., LA 112
