Srikanth is a Biomedical Physics and Biology Pre-Medicine dual major. He is involved in several organizations on campus. His main involvement is in the Chapman Scholars Program, Honors Student Group, and Pre-med Club. He is also involved in the Chemistry Club, Big Heart Club, and Global Health Initiative. Srikanth holds leadership positions of Vice President in both the Honors Student Group and the Pre-med club and has sat on the Honors Student Council as a student representative for two years. He is also treasurer of the Big Heart Club (BHG) and the Honors Student Group (HSG) for the last school year. More recently, he was selected as leader for the second year of IPFW’s The BIG Event volunteer day.
Srikanth has participated in volunteer activities for Northrop High School’s speech and debate team as well as for the Chapman Scholars Program, HSG, and the BHC. He has been involved in research in the physics department since his freshman year. He has completed a project on nuclear magnetic resonance, and has started a project on quantum entanglement & imaging. He also conducted research in the biology department in the summer of his freshman year. Srikanth plans to do a more humanistic science project in the form of a health and nutrition assay of the IPFW student housing population for his Chapman Scholar senior research project. He has been awarded membership in the biology honor society Tri Beta, in the multidisciplinary honor society Phi Kappa Phi, and in the freshman success honor society Phi Eta Sigma. He was awarded the Who’s Who Among College Students Award. For his research in physics, Srikanth has received two internal summer grants. He plans to pursue medical school and either an M.D. or an M.D. Ph.D. He enjoys playing Dance Dance Revolution and has started to work out as a hobby. He also loves to watch or read anything automobile related and hopes to own a supercar one day.
