Home-schooled Students

IPFW welcomes home-schooled students to the Collegiate Connection Program. In order to participate, students should be following the curriculum requirements of the Indiana Core 40 or Academic Honors diploma.

Developing a Transcript of Home Schooling

These guidelines may help you create a transcript if you have not used a program or curricula that transcripts your educational record.

  • Student’s name, address, phone number, date of birth
  • For each high school grade level (grades 9, 10, 11, 12), include:
    • All subjects studied with the name and author of the text(s) used for the course
    • The grade (number or letter) earned in the course
    • Amount of credit for the course (semester or year)
    • Days present in school at each grade level
  • Grading scale used to determine grades
  • Extracurricular activities
  • Date of graduation
  • Home school registration number obtained from the Indiana Department of Education (optional)
  • Signature of the home school administrator/teacher verifying that he/she was the educator of the student

Please submit a photocopy of the SAT I or ACT score report received by the student (not the online report). No handwritten transcripts or test scores are accepted.

Application Process

1. Submit an IPFW Collegiate Connection Application

2. Submit either the home-school transcript or if you used a home-school program that provides a transcript, pleas submit that transcript.

3. Submit a photocopy of SAT or ACT test score report (not the online report)

4. Schedule an appointment with the Collegiate Connection coordinator by calling 260-481-0748.
