Alumni Scholarship Fund

The IPFW Alumni Association is pleased to offer several $1,000 scholarships on an annual basis. Scholarships are awarded in the spring for the following academic year. 

  • IPFW Alumni Association Scholarship (full-time student)
  • IPFW Alumni Association Scholarship (part-time student)
  • Purdue University Scholarship
  • Indiana University Alumni Association Scholarships

Applications become available in January and have various deadlines March 30 - May 1. Note: Applicants must have filed their FAFSA by March 10. Finalists may be asked to interview with the scholarship committee. Recipients will be notified in mid-May. The scholarships are not automatically renewed, but application may be made in succeeding years.

Two $1,000 scholarships available

Candidate must be:
  • An IPFW graduate or the son, daughter, stepson, stepdaughter, or spouse of an IPFW graduate
  • An incoming freshman to IPFW or a current IPFW undergraduate or graduate student
  • A part-time (1-11 credit hours) or full-time (12+ credit hours) student
The award is based on:
  • GPA, class rank, and SAT score if high-school senior, or
  • GPA and credit-hour load if current IPFW student
Reminders:
  • The sponsoring alumnus or alumna of this application must be a dues paying member of the IPFW Alumni Association.
  • The applicant must have filed his or her FAFSA by the March 10 deadline.

Purdue University Scholarships

Two $1,000 scholarships available, made possible through a gift of the Carol K. Schannen estate


Candidate must be:

  • The son, daughter, stepson, stepdaughter, or spouse of a Purdue University Fort Wayne graduate.
  • A full-time junior or senior Purdue University Fort Wayne student of superior academic achievement as determined by IPFW Financial Aid.
Reminders:
  • The sponsoring alumnus or alumna of this application must be a dues paying member of the IPFW Alumni Association or Purdue University Alumni Association.
  • The applicant must have filed his or her FAFSA by the March 10 deadline.

IUAA Scholarship

Two $1,000 scholarships available

Candidate must be:
  • Available to the children of dues paying IUAA members, staff and chapter leaders
  • A current freshmen, sophomore, or junior full-time student
  • Currently pursuing an IU degree at any IU campus
  • A student with demonstrable financial need and financial-aid application on file
Reminders:
  • The sponsoring alumnus or alumna of this application must be a dues paying member of the Indiana University Alumni Association.
  • The applicant must have filed his or her FAFSA by the March 10 deadline.
