Four-time Grammy®-nominated Anoushka Shankar, “one of the greatest sitar players in the world” (Rolling Stone), will perform at IPFW on Sunday, March 26, 2017. Tickets go on sale Oct. 3. Sponsored in part by Sweetwater, the celebrated daughter of sitar star Ravi Shankar, will present works that showcase the meditative and virtuosic qualities of the Indian raga. Home, her most recent album released in 2015, featured two ragas, one of which is a creation of Ravi Shankar’s, and with them Anoushka shared an intimate, heartfelt live performance in the traditional style. International music lovers will not want to miss this incredibly affordable concert. This concert is sponsored by donations made in support of Shruti and the College of Visual and Performing Arts.
