Scholarship Information

The following are scholarships offered through Indiana University—Purdue University Fort Wayne. Contact the IPFW Walb Union Office for more information.

Levan Scott Scholarship

Criteria: Student must be enrolled in an associate or baccalaureate degree program on a full time basis. The student must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0, and have demonstrated financial need. Preference is given to students who are active in the Black Collegian Caucus.

William and Cora Watson Scholarship

Criteria: Student must be enrolled in an associate or baccalaureate degree program on a full time basis. The recipient must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 and have demonstrated financial need. Preference is given to students who are active in the Black Collegian Caucus.

Morris K. Udall Foundation Scholarships

There are 80 scholarships available for sophomore and junior students interested in environmental or are Native American or Alaskan Native studying health care or tribal public policy.

Newhouse Graduate Newspaper Fellowship and Apprenticeship

To qualify for this program you must be: a minority US Citizen, have an undergraduate degree in a field other than journalism, have a B or better average.

Upon acceptance to this program you would receive: free tuition for graduate work in newspaper journalism, an internship and the Post-Standard, $1100 monthly stipend, health insurance coverage, and moving expenses to Syracuse up to $1500, travel expenses up to $800, academic expenses up to $1000, and a one year full paid internship upon graduation.

IPFW Project Team Scholarship

Fifteen scholarships will be awarded to an African American, Hispanic/Latino, American Indian, or Pacific Islander, who shows a good record of community service, and have at least a 2.5 GPA.
