Beltz has been a professor of finance for more than seven years and teaches courses in bank management at IPFW. He was in Asia (Hong Kong) during the economic collapse in the region and banking was at the heart of the problem. He was teaching M.B.A. students who were professionals working for the Hong Kong Monetary Authority and thus he turned his classroom into a laboratory for analyzing the role of commercial banking in the ongoing economic crisis.

He has also been an amateur investor for some time and believes his experiences are valuable to individuals interested in taking charge of their own investment portfolios, particularly when investing in equities. His own experiences and academic background provides sound knowledge of the fundamental principles of finance as well.

Speaking:

"A Discussion of Interest Rates, Mortgage Lending, and the Development of the Secondary Mortgage Market" is a presentation given to the Indiana Mortgage Brokers Association.
