University Religious Forum Looks at Themes from The Hobbit

FORT WAYNE, Ind.—“Learning with Bilbo: Lessons in Truth from The Hobbit,” is the theme of the University Religious Forum at Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) Thursday, November 15. The forum will be held in Walb Student Union, Rooms 222–226 from noon to 1:15 p.m.

Guest speaker is Pam Jordan-Long, professor of professional writing and director of programs at the Center for the Study of C.S. Lewis and Friends at Taylor University. Jordan-Long is an expert on the writings of both C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien. The new movie The Hobbit, produced by Peter Jackson, who also produced the film trilogy of Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings, is set for release in theatres in December.

The University Religious Forum is free and open to the public; a simple lunch will be served.
