'Globalization and the Rise of the Third World' Discussed in Upcoming Lecture

FORT WAYNE, Ind.—In recent years, technological advances have made it easier than ever to enhance the global economy. Globalization has changed the way we interact with other countries, especially third world countries. Join moderator Stephen Buttes of the Department of International Language and Culture Studies at Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) and his panelists in a discussion about the impact of globalization at the upcoming UC² event, "Globalization and the Rise of the Third World."

  • Jim Lutz, Department of Political Science

Panelists will discuss how the world has been changed by the rise of third world countries such as India, China, Russia, Brazil, and others, along with the technological advances, economic shifts, and cultural changes that have reshaped the United States as a partner in the global economy.
