IPFW to Host Career Fair Featuring Business, Government, Leadership, and Non-profit Industries

FORT WAYNE, Ind.—Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) will host its annual Job and Internship Fair on Thursday, March 23, from noon to 3 p.m. in the Walb Classic Ballroom, 2101 East Coliseum Boulevard. The Industry Fair is free and open to IPFW students, alumni, and the public. Students who attend will receive lunch and a free gift, while supplies last.

This is the largest career fair in northeast Indiana this spring. More than 50 companies in the industries of business, leadership, government, and non-profit will be on campus to recruit for more than 1,000 open positions. Attendees should arrive early and park in Parking Garage 3 (marked P3 on the campus map) on the north side of campus, near the St. Joe Road entrance.

Each year, the university conducts a survey with recent graduates about their current employment, plans for the future, and where their degrees will take them. “Eighty percent of the class of 2016 reported they were employed after utilizing career services or attending career events on campus such as our job fairs,” said Lynne Koepper, assessment coordinator and JobZone administrator. “As an office, Career Services is dedicated to providing students with those crucial opportunities to connect with employers, and it is truly rewarding to see that the data collected from the First Destination Survey is a positive reflection of our efforts.”

The free IPFW Career Fair Plus App features the full list of employers, company overviews, open positions, and an interactive floor plan. The app is available for download on any Android or Apple device. The final list of employers will be available soon on the university's Career Services website.
