FORT WAYNE, Ind.—Celebrate Science Indiana will engage participants of all ages in interactive STEM-related activities at a special event September 7 at Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW). This inaugural event will demonstrate the importance of studying science, the joy of discovery, the economic value of science, and its significance to society.

Celebrate Science Indiana is a consortium of organizations that highlights the importance and value of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) education, research, and careers to Indiana.

“This event is for all age groups and for individuals from all walks of life,” said Jeff Nowak, associate professor of science education at IPFW and director of the NISTEM Education Resource Center. “Science impacts our daily lives, and this event aims to encourage young Hoosiers to pursue exciting, rewarding careers in science.”
