FORT WAYNE, Ind.—A group of students, faculty, and staff from Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) will make a visit to the Statehouse in Indianapolis this Wednesday, February 26, for the16th annual "IPFW at the Statehouse."
Over 55 campus constituents will spend the day with area legislators, observe committee meetings, learn information on how a bill becomes law, and take a tour of statehouse.
"This opportunity provides our students a first-hand look at the legislative session and our legislative delegation in action," said Chancellor Vicky Carwein. "This event is a special day to observe politics at work and gain a better understanding of how the statehouse works through up-close interaction with Indiana legislators."
The group from IPFW will depart campus at 8 a.m. and return at 5 p.m. Follow updates from IPFW at the Statehouse via Twitter at #ipfwstatehouse.
