IPFW Event Looks to End Violence Against Women

FORT WAYNE, Ind.—Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) will host "Take Back the Night: Shatter the Silence—Stop the Violence," an annual event that aims to end violence against women, October 22 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Alumni Plaza on campus.

The evening includes a guest speaker, candlelight vigil, speak out, and a half-mile march around campus to support the cause of ending violence toward women. Students, faculty, and staff are invited to attend, along with the Fort Wayne community. Free pizza, refreshments, and a commemorative t-shirt will be available for attendees.

Take Back the Night is sponsored by the Women's Studies Program, Campus Feminists in Solidarity, and the Indiana–Purdue Student Government Association (IPSGA).
