IPFW Event Encourages "Awesome" Body Image

FORT WAYNE, Ind.— We all have negative thoughts about ourselves. Learn to embrace all of the great things about yourself at Indiana University–Purdue University's (IPFW) upcoming event, "You're Awesome ... Accept It," on March 4, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Walb Union Ballroom.

This event is free and open to the public. National Eating Disorder Awareness Week takes place February 23–March 1. At this event, attendees will learn about body image, how it affects us, and how to improve yours.

Evening events include:

  • "Defining Body Image" – Kaleigh Meyer and Brooke Farrington, Farrington Specialty Counseling
  • "Defining Self Talk" – Linda Smith, Smith Counseling LLC
  • Personal stories, monologues, songs, skits, Q&A, and much more ...

"This event signifies that every person has worth as a valued, unique member of the community," said Judy Tillapaugh, director of wellness and fitness at IPFW.
