FORT WAYNE, Ind.—Less than six months ago, a cohort of 60 faculty at Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) were given iPads to use a part of a project called “Re-imagining IPFW’s Academic Future: Project #mobileEDU.”
This Friday, January 6, another group of IPFW faculty will begin their work on the iPad Cohort 2. As part of their introduction to #mobileEDU, the faculty will take part in a day-long seminar that will feature representatives from Apple and Blackboard Mobile.
Members of the media are invited to a news conference that morning at 10:45 a.m. in the Liberal Arts Building Lobby. Preliminary results of the first cohort and plans for the second cohort will be announced. Faculty members will discuss how the iPads changed their teaching methods and what they learned from the experience.
