Tickets Available for Robert Edsel Omnibus Lecture at IPFW

FORT WAYNE,Ind.—Tickets are now available for the second lecture of the 2017–18 Omnibus Lecture Series season, featuring Robert Edsel, who will present his lecture titled, The Monuments Men: Allied Heroes, Nazi Thieves, and the Greatest Treasure Hunt in History. The lecture will take place Tuesday, November 14, at 7:30 p.m. in the Auer Performance Hall, located in the Rhinehart Music Center on campus.

Robert Edsel’s impassioned journey unraveled the secrets of the unsung heroes who saved the world’s greatest art and cultural treasures. A former nationally ranked tennis player and oilman, he is now a renowned art preservation advocate.

Edsel’s New York Times best-selling book, The Monuments Men: Allied Heroes, Nazi Thieves, and the Greatest Treasure Hunt in History, was the basis for the 2014 film George Clooney wrote, directed, and starred in and which featured an all-star cast.

The lecture is free to attend but tickets are required. Tickets can be picked up in person Monday–Friday from 12:30 to 6:30 p.m. at the Larson Ticket Office, located inside the Athletics Center on campus. Tickets are also available online through the IPFW Box Office website. A $1 service fee will be charged per ticket for online orders.

The Fort Wayne Museum of Art is co-sponsoring this lecture.

The English-Bonter-Mitchell Foundation has been the Omnibus Lecture Series sponsor since 1995. Media sponsors for the 2017-18 series are WANE TV NewsChannel 15, Greater Fort Wayne Business Weekly, and 89.1 WBOI News and Diverse Music.
