2014 IPFW Featured Faculty to be Introduced at Media Event

FORT WAYNE, Ind.—Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) Chancellor Vicky L. Carwein and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs Jeff Anderson will introduce the 2014 Featured Faculty at a news conference, Wednesday, January 22, at noon in Kettler Hall, Room 154.

Each year, several IPFW faculty are honored as Featured Faculty for their outstanding performance in their area of research, scholarly activity, or creative endeavor. As a quality measure that distinguishes IPFW from other institutions of higher education, the accomplishments of the Featured Faculty illustrate the comprehensive and significant contributions of IPFW faculty to the sciences, the arts, the humanities, and society.

The objectives of the Featured Faculty program are to:

  • Showcase IPFW faculty
  • Emphasize the scholarship at IPFW
  • Communicate the benefits of intellectual opportunity for students at IPFW
  • Demonstrate the benefits of IPFW’s intellectual resources for our community and society
  • Elevate the significance of creating new knowledge
  • Create prestige, recognize, and motivate faculty

As part of their duties, each of the Featured Faculty will present a lecture about their research. Details of the lectures, including topics, dates, and location, will be released January 22.
