Program offers two learning options to help working professionals finish degrees

FORT WAYNE, Ind.—Both the Professional MBA and the MBA+ programs at Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) were recently updated to enhance the student experience and better meet the region's business needs. IPFW's Doermer School of Business will host two information sessions about both programs for individuals interested in earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree.

The sessions will take place Thursday, February 4, from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Wednesday, March 2, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Both sessions will open with a 30 minute presentation about the degree programs. Afterward, attendees can meet with faculty, current students, and alumni. The sessions will be held at the Steel Dynamics Keith E. Busse IPFW Alumni Center. Refreshments will be served.

Attendees can pre-register for the events online or call 260-481-6118. For more information, contact program coordinator James Cashdollar at 260-481-6118 or cashdolj@ipfw.edu.

Professional MBA mixes Saturday sessions and online technology
The Professional MBA (formerly the Accelerated MBA) is designed for working adults who want to advance quickly in their careers by completing an MBA in less than 12 months. In the updated program, classes meet just one day per week on Saturday. Previously, students attended class both Friday night and Saturday.

“By utilizing online technology and remote classwork we were able to make this valuable change for busy students,” said Cigdem Gurgur, MBA program director and associate professor of management.

MBA+ adds two tracks, offers traditional experience
The MBA+ Program is tailored for students wishing to experience a more traditional master’s program. In addition to traditional MBA topics, students can now explore new focused tracks in business analytics and finance. These specializations will enhance learning and increase the degree’s applicability for students.

MBA+ classes meet in the evening, Monday through Thursday, making it convenient for working professionals.
