FORT WAYNE, Ind.—The twelfth annual Tapestry: A Day for You will be dedicated to a female role model whose positive activities have encompassed all aspects of her life: family, community, and profession. The Dedication Award recipient will be honored during Tapestry’s breakfast program Friday, April 26, 2013.
Nominations for the Dedication Award are open until Thursday, November 15. Anyone may submit a nomination by going to the Tapestry: A Day for You website (ipfw.edu/tapestry) and filling out the form. Nominators are asked to submit a short narrative describing how the nominee is a role model for women. Some of the areas that may be exemplified include how the woman achieves a balanced life, empowers others, her leadership abilities, passion for life with compassion for others, a positive attitude, service to community, strength of character, and vision and implementation.
Past Dedication Award recipients include Donna Emley, Dorian Maples, Bette Harris, Weezie (Mary Louise) Doermer, Harriett and Julie Inskeep, Pat Kunkle, Ione Auer, Pat Miller and Barbara Baekgaard, Colleen Benninghoff, Suzon Motz, Patty Martone, and Betty Stein.
