Learn More about Autism, Local Support Resources at Autism Awareness Event

FORT WAYNE, Ind.—In honor of Autism Awareness Month, Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW) will present an Autism Awareness Event on April 14.

The event will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m. in the Walb Union Classic Ballroom. It is free and open to the public.

Event activities include:

  • Free resources about autism
  • Free interactive sensory activities
  • Free light refreshments
  • Information about local autism support resources
  • Information about IPFW special education programs and counselor education programs

The Autism Awareness Event is supported by the special education programs in the Department of Professional Studies as well as students in the Chi Eta Sigma counseling honorary society and in the counselor education program.
