Captain Mark Kelly Omnibus News Conference October 12 at IPFW

FORT WAYNE, Ind.—Captain Mark Kelly, the first lecturer in the 2017–18 Omnibus Lecture Series season at Indiana University–Purdue University Fort Wayne (IPFW), will meet with members of the media on Thursday, October 12, beginning at 4 p.m. in Kettler Hall, Room 154.

Captain Kelly will present his lecture, Endeavour to Succeed, at 7:30 p.m. in the Auer Performance Hall, located in the Rhinehart Music Center on the IPFW campus. With an extraordinary career of service to our military, our nation, and humanity, NASA space mission commander Mark Kelly is a role model, modern-day pioneer, and leader. With his twin brother, Scott, he has laid the groundwork for future space exploration as subjects of an unprecedented NASA study on the effects of space on the human body.

Kelly shares lessons learned from extensive travels, the Navy, outer space, and on the ground—from leading teams in some of the most dynamic environments imaginable to the thrill of spaceflight, and the resilience of his wife, Gabrielle Giffords.

Kettler Hall (marked as such on the campus map) is located on the south side of campus. Parking is available in Lots 4, 5, and 6, or Parking Garage 1, all located on the south side of campus.

The AWS Foundation is co-sponsoring this lecture in celebration of their 10th anniversary.

The English-Bonter-Mitchell Foundation is the Omnibus Lecture Series sponsor. Media sponsors are WANE TV NewsChannel 15, Greater Fort Wayne Business Weekly, and 89.1 WBOI News and Diverse Music.
